About the Client

Oxify provides Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy from four centres across the north of England – Leeds, Manchester, Retford, and York. Their clients range from people managing health conditions to athletes using HBOT for sports recovery, alongside cosmetic therapy and general wellbeing. They offer everything from £10 taster sessions through to regular treatment plans, and have developed their own chamber, the Oxify L Chamber.

They found Pixelish through Google. We’ve now worked together, across two separate engagements, for over two years.

The Challenge

This wasn’t a standard redesign brief. Three things made it more complex than most.

First, the subject matter. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy isn’t something most people are familiar with. The site needed to educate visitors – explaining the science, the conditions it can help with, and what to expect from a session – before it could even think about converting them. That requires a different content approach to a typical service business.

Second, four locations – a challenge we also tackled with Eyra Studios across two pilates studios. Each centre needed its own dedicated page with location-specific details and its own booking flow. That’s structural complexity that has to be planned properly from the start.

Third, trust. HBOT is a health treatment. The design had to feel professional and credible – the kind of site that reassures a first-time visitor that they are in safe hands.

What We Built

We redesigned the site from the ground up. Each of Oxify four centres got its own dedicated location page. We built out a comprehensive content structure covering individual health conditions, treatment information, pricing tiers, testimonials, and a blog – giving the site genuine depth and authority rather than just surface-level pages.

The booking system was initially built directly into WordPress, then transitioned to Ovatu as the business needs evolved – integrated cleanly through the site.

Pricing was made clear throughout. The £10 taster session is a low-barrier entry point that needed to be prominent – getting someone through the door for their first session is the conversion that matters most.

Then They Left. Then They Came Back.

After the initial build, Oxify moved their site elsewhere. They were going through a crowdfunding and investment drive, and the company managing that process wanted control of the site as part of the arrangement. We understood, wished them well, and got on with things.

A year later, Oxify got back in touch. The client described it as the worst year of their digital life. The agency running the site was charging £70 an hour, consistently pushing to rebrand a business identity that was already working, and the client was never happy with what was being produced. It was an expensive, frustrating year with little to show for it.

When they came back to us, we started again from scratch – a full second rebuild. They’re now on a Pixelish manage plan and we handle all technical aspects of the site, making changes and additions as the business requires.

We don’t charge £70 an hour. See our other work and judge for yourself.

Where We Are Now

We manage Oxify site on an ongoing basis – hosting, maintenance, and development as their business grows. As new locations, treatments, or requirements emerge, we’re already there.

This project was led by James Taylor, Director at Pixelish.
